i got my co2 stuff about a couple of mounths ago and ive just noticed the bottle is empty already. when i got it i checked for leaks but there was none. and i checked the valve about a week ago and everything was ok.
it holds 500g and is for a 50 gallon tank but i thought it was sposed to last a year lol. so does any1 know if its empty or somehow a leak happend?
Actually 500g for a 50gallon tank doesn't sound all that much if you were expecting it to last a year so i wouldn't have suspected a leak. I also gather that CO2 regulators are pretty useless when it comes to trying to figure out if there's CO2 left - they pretty much show pressure when there's some CO2 and no pressure when you're out!
If it's only 500g, it sounds like it's a proper aquatic CO2 bottle - try contacting your local LFS to see if they will refill it.
I have a 2KG fire extinguisher which cost me about £25-8 off ebay and will cost me a fiver to fill. I expect it to last a year and I have a 185l tank. If you have the room, maybe consider gettign something bigger.
cheers for ur info. i got it off from that trimar site if u know what that is. ill have to see if they have a bigger bottle or somethin
