My avatar is a Haplochomis Kyogo"red flame" from Lake Kyoga, near Lake Victoria, East Africa. The species is very rare, and thanks to man being a greedy idiot, apt to become even more scarce. Man introduced a fish called the Nile Perch, which gets pretty big, to the lake for sport fishing. The Nile Perch is eating the cichlids in the lake.

I was fortunate to get some of them and now have three breeding colonies of these fish.

stunning fish mon! love to have a breeder pair if u can part. ya know...get the numbers back up!! heh heh. good luck w/ them. nile perch is a problem here in florida too as they eat bass babies and other native fish. apparently not very tasty either.
