Can you remove a glass hinged hood?

Hi, the glass hinged hood top(aqueon) is cracked in 1 part of the glass. Are these removable from the brown/black connector piece that holds both halves together? or not? I can't figure it out. Thanks. Great forum here

Should be removable/replaceable, it all depends on if the manufacturer used any silicone or other adhesive. try gently prying. If it breaks during removal (the hinge), you can order the hinge part on-line from several places like Big Als.

Careful not to break the glass any more and cut yourself while working with it. I'd recommend gloves and eye protection. Don't ever want glass in the eye!!

I should add a disclaimer that I'm NOT familiar with the Aqueon configuration, just the generic glass covers!!! Sorry I missed that on the first read.
