I have a Aqueon 150w heater..it told me to leave it at the setting it came as and leave it for 24hrs..then i could turn it up..well i didnt read the insructions fully..DUMMY...well when i turn it up..the red light comes on...why isnt i see the elements turn red..could i have ruined it
it was sumerged..the light does come on(its red)..im talking about the heating elements insude the tube..i havent seen it get red as it heats up the tank
The heating element will not get red. Only a little orange spot will glow. Don't worry, it is working.
Just he careful how you adjust it. The first time I did, I adjusted it the wrong way and when I came home from work, the temp in the tank was 91 degrees and 1 of the 3 guppies I had in there died. Posted via Mobile Device
i came to find out it wasnt working...it would only heat up to 68f and it was getting condensation inside the tube so i took it back and got a fluval 200 and its been awsome ever since
