My King Betta tried to fit through a hole in a fake log that was too small and got stuck. There were three huge holes he could have used. He was my favorite one :(

My Betta got stuck in the hole in the bottom of one of those terra cotta everyday pots that EVERYONE puts in their tanks. I had rescued him from a silly fish bowl sitting on a secretary's desk (she had left to co.) and he had 45 G to swim in and where does he decide to go!!? I totally understand what you are going thru. So sorry to hear of your loss!!
