Zebra Danios - Breeding, or fighting?
I have 6 Zebra Danios in my aquarium (see the tab on my profile for more info on the tank) and this morning they were going nuts. I know Bettas do a 'dance' and intertwine in each other for breeding, but my Zebras were doing the same things. two of them were all over each other, it looked like Nipping at first but they weren't really biting or harassing each other, just swimming and overlapping really close. It was right as I was turning the light on in the morning. Does this constitute breeding activity? I recently did a massive water change (100%, basically) and changed the substrate from gravel to sand. I've been feeding them alternative food too (blanched veggies, bloodworms) rather than my usual flakes and pellets which they've been loving. I don't know the specifics of my aquarium water hardness, but my PH is about 7.0 with perfect 0 ammonia 0 nitrite less than 20 nitrate. Any suggestions?
