When To Move Prego Platy Into Breeding Trap Need to Know ASAP Please
I have a pregnant platy. She is fat and her gravid spot is very visible. She is hiding a lot and when she comes out she is "gasping for air" continuously. Is there a tell-tale sign when a platy is right ready to give birth? I have read that the "gasping for air" thing could be.
I know with guppies their bellies take on a squarish shape right before they drop. I am guessing it is the same with all livebearers.
20 gallon long: 3 adult Neolamprologus similis + about 11 fry of various ages; low light planted tank
20 gallon long:2 freshwater dwarf puffers (Puff Puff and Poofer); medium-light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Wormy; low light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Dante; low light planted tank
2, 5.5 gallon tanks that are currently empty (I see more fish on the horizon )
