sry cause i didnt write what my question was, so here it is hehe

A) will the fry survive with the gravel only?

B) when is she due?

C) wil the gravid spot fade after the last fry?

D) do the fish give birth always in mornings?

A) Probably not in a 2 gallon tank.

B) That's hard to say, usually when they're quite large within a week.

C) Yes

D) No

you could use a tank divider. i couldnt get one so i spent $5 and bought one of those plastic 'nano' tanks. bad environment altogether but you can put fish in it and then submerge that in the main tank...new water and food can be directed through the vents in the lid, and once fry are born it is hard for them to escape
im currently doing this with a VERY pregnant Mosquitofish.

Very best thing to do is just buy a bunch of plants and make sure your water paramaters are good,and temp is at 78 and all the fry should hide inbetween the plants and gravel!

Hiding spots is the most important thing for the fry!

I've bought a bunch of marbles and put plants at the top of the tank, this time I managed to save 10 :)
