I don't plan on breeding any more fish for a while since I already have enough but I was just curious and wanted to know what could you breed to get a Endler. I belive that Endler's were bred from some type of livebearer. As I said, I do not plan on breeding any fish, I was just curious.
Poecilia wingei , the Endler is closely related to to guppies. According to Wikipedia, this fish is native to Venezuela and introduced to the aquarium trade by John Endlerhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Endler in 1975. It's a separate species from the guppy.
The Endlers will easily hybridize with guppies. I believe pure Endler's are significantly smaller than guppies.
Hmm... that was interesting. Thank you for the info.
