will blue rams take care of the babies?
Some may turn out to be poor parents like angels do.:shake:

Neons, Sazzy.:checkedout: Who knows you end up with several neon babies. If not, get a shoal of praecox. I had mine spawn every night for 3 months(before they succumb to columnaris).

Cory breeding requires a balanced tank but nothing special, a few live plants help and some caves for them to hide but most important, a little luck. I tried everything under the sun to try and get them to spawn for 7 weeks with no luck and then 2 weeks later they just did it all their own. Just be ready to remove the eggs and place them in anything to protect them from the parents because they will not only eat the eggs but will eat the babies.

I think a shrimp breeder tank is a good idea and is a lot of fun to see the little ones slowly mature and color up. Either Cherries or Ghost/glass shrimp would fit well.

yeah the praecox will pretty much take care of things on their own given decent water. they can pretty much be counted on to lay eggs practically every day. I'm in the process of setting up a 20 gallon tank for just that purpose actually. I already have the males, its just a matter of getting a few females to add to the school. They are one of the easier fish to breed seeing as how well-fed adults will generally ignore the fry.
