uh...help? guppy gone.

i woke up this morning to find that one of my females(a blue one) has dissapeared. there is no body, and when a fishdies in my tank its gut is usually ripped out, but they never just dissapear.there are a few hiding placs in my tank, but i cannot see into them.

What other fish do you have in the tank with it?

Have you checked in the filter in case it has got sucked in accidentally...

Do you have a lid on the tank?

i the biggest fish i have is a gentle featherfin catfish, and he is too scared to come out from under his bridge. the rest of the fish are small-my second biggest fish, a very, very old Swordtail female,died a few days ago.
the filter has a guard on it that prevents fish from getting in, and the slits are too small for a tetra to get through.
i have a lid and the open space in the back for a hang-on filter is covered with tinfoil to keep heat in.

If it fits in a catfish's mouth, the catfish will eat it. Unless you have a teeny baby catfish I'm guessing all your guppies are at risk. Catfish are also nocturnal, so while he hides during the day, at night he's swimming around, probably ate the Guppy then.

a few min. ago i found a body with its gut torn out. i will return it to petsmart and buy a few shrimp with the refund. or another male endlers...
