My brother in law tells me that this balloon molly is older and that she is very pregnant and will probably give birth to more fry due to the fact shes older...I am just wondering from the looks of the top two pics how far you think she has till she is due?

Another balloon molly who isnt as big and im not sure if she is pregnant...

Chances are they are gravid if they've been around with their male counterparts for quite some time. The second pic of a female does indicate it being gravid due to the square outline appearance of its belly. I find it difficult to distinguish it among balloon mollies.

Considering my vast experience with various molly species, the shorter body style tells me that these are likely balloon mollys, so whether pregnant or not is very hard to say. If they are female and coming from a tank with males in it, they are likely to be pregnant. The only way to really tell for sure if pregnant, balloon or not, is to keep an eye on them for the first 30 - 40 days. Livebearers will usually produce fry every 30 days or so if mating has happened, and the body has the ability to retain sperm for up to 6 spawns.
