Ah, at the moment I have a couple broods of molly babies over the last few months, including the newest which I seem to have only gotten 4-5 babies from...Some older ones about to go, the solar flare swordtails I'm still raising(some are huuuge, but a couple here and there just never grew, I hope I didn't get anymore random dwarfs that will die out of nowhere like that molly, these babies are only half an inch or even less the their siblings inch or more, and since they're in the nursery I know they weren't born from them since I had no males, and some were in the homemade nursery net and ten gallon with the same issue. I spread them out as much as I could to give them space, so they shouldn't have stunted)...and a ton of endlers babies. Some should be tigers, some should be mixes of who knows what since a few moms were pregnant before I got them from Fish Guy, and a few were ones I tried to breed myself(I tried to breed the black ones with the red tails...they're really neat. I have males and females that are black with the red tails, the male looks like a full endlers too...not my mixed cobra tuxedo, but I had another one and he's about 3/4 an inch long and has stayed there for two months, so I think he's full grown....) Wondering what KIND of endlers those are if not mixes. They're neat though, I hope they breed true. :3

Anywho, still waiting to see how some of those endlers turn out. They're all staying pretty white or gold, but a few are getting the black stripes on each side of the tail that tells me they'll likely be black bars or mixes of.

Uhhhhg, I feel sick, been nauseous for three days, it's not extreme like it was day one though at least. x.x

Soo, I complain and groan, but I did some work today on my tanks. Getting some live plants moved over to the five gallon now that it seems to be working out for them(they would rot before, I think it's because of the air stone but I'm not sure, the three I have in now are doing great...one has been there about a month and is also great when others rotted within a week or two before...). So yeah, I move one over a week or so after that, got three now. :3 Spit-fire(Merlin as my grandma and little cousin INSIST) is loving that, so are the snails since they all had some tasty algae on them.

The platy tank I turned the twenty gallon into is looking just awesome. I NEED to get up photos of it, it's lovely. Currently just a bunch of small platies not even half grown in there(six or seven), less youngsters than I thought, I think there's only 8-10 newborn babies in there, and temporarily mama molly is in there until I feel safe moving her, she hasn't handled her births well lately, and I want the big tank to have less fish in it before she goes back. I got sick so we didn't take any fish to the store yet. =( Anywho, a couple of the platies will go when they're a tad bigger, I don't want that tank over-stocked, five platies will probably be perfect with a few pink ramshorns, especially with all those plants(some will be moved to the other ten gallon and the five gallon,a nd even the 55 gallon eventually, but right now I like the smaller plants covering the entire bottom of the tank, it looks like a mini rain forest, so thick and lush...;D The fish in there are loving it, and of course the mollies...or in some cases muppies, will be moved to the other tank when they're big enough. I'm going to -try- and not let it get too many babies in there this time as I want to breed some of those platies, I'm loving my blue-wag, speckled blue platy and the orange calico I have, and of course....

HEY! Do you remember the little baby fish I got all by itself a few months ago? Little white one with a tad of black on its tail I didn't know what it was? Turns out she's a gorgeous white calico! =) Oh she is a pretty one too. She grew up well, haven't had issues with her, she gets along with the older platies just fine, and she really is something, just beautiful. Her body is a lovely pale pink color, from mid back down she has some random black marks of stripes, blotches and spots, and between every mark she is a much brighter rose red/pink color. The top of her head looks more white than pink, she's REALLY cool, I dunno how THAT mix happened, but she must be a mix...the other calico mixes came out either redder, orange and spotted, or blue and spotted, but she's different and was the only one of her brood that was saved. T_T I wish I had found more, she's just so pretty, so I'm HOPING to get her to breed with either another calico if I find a nice one, or wit my orange calico or the red platy(who made my lovely orange calicos). Depends on if my orange baby turns male or not...I also have a blue MM platy with a red back and a Mickey Mouse tail, he's MUCH more...extreme on his colors than my other one who passed away a few months back. He's also fairly small, but obviously male. o-o; He's barely 3/4 an inch and already matured....in fact I think he's smaller than my calico.

Anywho, yeah. lol I've picked out a few of the kids I'll be keeping, I decided I liked a couple of my oddballs and will just keep those to breed, but I WILL need to find proper males...I have one, but I am not sure about that mix exactly, I'm thinking a nice black molly male or a silver...or something with the not lyretail or sailfin will do. Some of the kids are my black and gold oddballs from my creamsicle, but I have this group that came out a pale uh...very pale gold/silver mix color with spots. I like them. :3 They're shaped like little gold dusts. Which is about the same shape as normal black mollies...I'm thinking it was initially a cross between my black molly and a gold dust, or possibly a dalmation and my gold nugget male, I have NO idea where they came from! ^_^; My grandma likes them and I do too.

Ok, I'm trying NOT to make this into a book, but it's gone that way anyways, I just have a lot on my mind I want to shout out I suppose. I can't wait to get photos, I really can't. Explaining how they look just doesn't do them justice, and it just doesn't sound right.

Ah, the ten gallon....I've taken just about everything out of it plant-wise. It became a temporary QT tank...so I have a 1/2 inch platy(who was being clenchy and lethargic), two almost full grown male guppies(they had some fin rot and damage to their tails), and one yellow jacket endlers who suddenly got dull and had an injury on his dorsal is in there. Everyone seems to be healed up(save for the guppies, but the fin-rot they had seems to be gone)...I'm not sure what to do with it. I want to try a shrimp tank again, but I'm thinking I will completely re-do it and cycle it again, dunno...I'm sure I'll think of something, I have a lot of options, I could just pop my tiger endlers in there, or use it as my endlers birthing tank.

Anywho, all seems to be well, just doing a lot of work. Ah yes, tomorrow we're getting our vents cleaned and carpets cleaned. I hope covering the tanks will keep everyone safe and sound.

Babies. :3 One of my girls gave birth. One I thought was a female tiger endler...She started off with a gold and black tail like the tigers with a pale gold body, but now her tail is kidna rainbowey...o-o

I really gotta get up some photos and video. I'd loooove to show off the males I raised. I have two male endlers I'm rather proud of their colors and trying to see if they breed true right now...one is black as pitch all over but his fins which are red(has the pale gold face), the other is black all over but the pale face, but he has bright yellow fins. They're quite handsome! I sure hope they breed true, I have females like them together hoping they will.

Ah, snails. My little pink ramshorns....you know how I said they laid eggs all over the breeder I had them in when I first got them? Well, I think ALL of them hatched, I've never seen so many eggs. o-o There must have been thousands of tiny babies....I split them up between the two ten gallons, twenty gallon and a couple in the five gallon for now. Perhaps I'll move some to the big tank when they're big enough to not be lunch. My betta ate one in the five gallon. T_T But then he left the rest alone so eh. Poor thing.

Anyways, I have some older baby snails who are about the size of small sweet peas now. Big enough to see them good. They're so nice, they look like little pink pearls. They all eat good too, algae, cucumber does not last the night(usually there's barely even any rind left in the morning when I pop the lights on). Ah yes, and one of the babies came out sorta odd. He's pinkish like the rest(I'd say more peach I suppose) but he has a BRGHT gold sheen over that pink(I think his skin, the snail itself is what's pink and his shell is gold and spotted) and what looks to be red or purple spots all over it, I can't tell what color his spots are yet for sure though. o-o; Dunno how THAT happened, but he's kinda neat. They weren't kept with ramshorns of any other color before I got them. I wonder if my red mixed with the pinks did that, I only have one so far though. -starts googling around- Haha, found a few like him somewhat. I guess I got myself a gold leopard ramshorn snail.

I didn't mention the day before, Spitfire died. =( We were kinda stunned...though he has been a bit "Slow" the last couple weeks, we thought it was the weather(we've been WELL into the negatives off and on for a while, but we've kept the tank temps pretty stable by covering them at night). Poor guy, I was worried something was wrong that wasn't showing other than him being slow. I ended up taking his body to a local pet shop who will look at them under the microscope to tell you what happened. They said they couldn't find anything and that he was likely old.

Well, whatever it was, if they didn't find it they said it was likely nothing that was contagious...I cleaned up the tank after treating it for any nasties anyways, made sure it stayed stable and got a new baby. Well, grandma wanted a new baby and since the shop we took Spitfire to insisted it was all good, I decided I'd lend a hand.

Just so you know, by baby we mean baby. Since with adults you can never tell their age, I decided I wanted a youngster. Problem is obviously you don't know if they'll be male or female, or much about their color...we decided it didn't matter since we have a tank for just the one betta. lol I got this little pure white baby with black eyes. It's "Cup" wasn't too dirty, the baby was nice and active...rescued one from suffocating by moving the cups off each other and bit off the head of a worker that was telling an elderly couple buying one for their son that they can be kept in water with temps as low as 69F, don't need a filter or a tank, and if you get a twenty gallon you can have two males together....I informed them otherwise and worker turned purple. >>; WHY do they do that?!?!?!?! Geez, the people didn't even know they were looking at saltwater fish later on.

Ahem, anyways. >>; So yeah, new baby. I am guessing either a male half moon, crowntail, or the deltas, or a female crowntail. The tail looks like the crowntail on females almost, so I'm thinking it may actually be a girl. Who knows? Gonna be some fun finding out. I also noticed an hour after she got put in her new home(I acclimated her with a drip for about half an hour first, was too cold to risk much longer since I couldn't float her/him), it looks like it may actually turn blue. There's a bit of a blue "Sheen" over her/his white. Coulda been a reflection, I guess we'll find out. Got nice and bright after being added to the new tank, investigated my plants...looked like it was in HEAVEN! Geez, it's so cute. It's about an inch long, fins included(shaped just like most females, like an arrow)...is it safe to assume it might be female at this point? Heh, guess we'll find out. If it is a female, I'll see if she can handle a very densely planted twenty gallon with some platies instead of the small five gallon, I know girls like ten gallons as a minimum unlike the males who seem to be fine in fives even though they're bigger.

Ah, need a name! But that's kinda impossible at the moment since we neither know its gender or color. I do know it's very active and bright...if you can call white bright. :3 I was surprised that it went right into the tank and started checking things out and looking for food, didn't seem stressed in the least, slid into the cave after a while and didn't come out, it was about 8pm though, so it's good it's on a schedule, for now. I'm so happy I managed to find a nice active baby, they're usually so....messed up when you see them at the shops, and most of them were aside from this one an a white one with red fins. Wish I coulda gotten them both, but only had space for the one.

Active and bright today too. This little betta fits right in, though he/she did not approve of the camera. Just slid back and hid, took forever to get a small bit of footage. It just looks like a little ghost floating around in there, it's so cool. :3 I was thinking about calling it Tyrant since it went right to attempting to kill my snails, who are bigger than it is by far. LOL But I'm now thinking of a ghosty name, like Ghosty for instance. xD Or Sprite. Sprite is good for both Genders, maybe that will stick. Depends on if the color sticks, but even if it doesn't that'll still be a fun name. Something not over-used.

He/she had some Daphnia today, it's a little bigger than I thought but she gulped one down. I gotta go get some more baby brine shrimp, I ran out last night and I'm thinking Hikari First Bites isn't so good for carnivores...stupid pet shop was out of it yesterday and I forgot I only had the one tab left(didn't realize I only had one tab of daphnia left too), I have to go shopping tomorrow if we can make it past the ice again, and if it doesn't snow...otherwise it's uh...well, I'll be chopping normal brine shrimp and glassworms into TINY, tiny pieces. Can't believe I did that. How irresponsible of me to forget how little baby meat foods I have and then go get a baby carnivore! ><

Sprite it is for my new betta. lol Grandma got a giggle out of that suggestion and said she's keeping it.

Went and got some baby food for her today, so she didn't go without! I had to scrape under the couch and car for the money, you know how costly that stuff is?! Wow, when I started buying the frozen baby brine shrimp it was around $5 or so, now it's like $7.43. @_@ Ended up having more money than I thought left though, I purchased a male cobra endlers with it, he was the only one left. Heh, he's pretty, he kinda looks like a black bar mix, which is fine since I want those colors with the black bar, but the rest of him is all cobra. So now I have one fully unrelated male, I've been splitting the others up between three tanks to keep inbreeding OUT, which is hard when you raised all of the ones you have. o-o; Anywho, yeah! So got a little pretty for my girls, which is cool because a couple of my kids came out like either normal gold and black cobras, and some red and black cobras. :3 Honestly I don't like the full cobras, I think they're...I dunno, I want to say plain, but how do you call a fish with nothing BUT markings plain? I love the mixes I made like my red tuxedo cobras and the Gold tuxedo cobras(not like the normal cobras who are just markings on a pale yellow). They're lovely, and hopefully the part black bar females will breed with him and get some more color to that cobra. Black bar color on a cobra is nice in my opinion.

Well thanks! I'm quite in love with Sprite, grandma...not so much. She said it's because she has no idea what it's gonna be like, doesn't know if it's male or female, and keeps calling it a pipsqueak of a fish. She's so mean, but it's funny.
Well, it's funny now, the reason why? I initially thought she didn't like the betta at all, she got so randomly grumpy about it. And also...she wanted an adult cobalt blue veiltail, but the entire center half of his tail was -gone- and I didn't want another fixer-upper. I've had enough of fixer-uppers because it really hurts when you can't fix them, or when you do fix them and they still die within a year. =( She really liked it though, but I told her no and I wasn't going through that again, he had rot and missing tail. Poor guy, was a lovely color though....

But anyways, I caught her talking to the betta this morning. xD She was giving it praise, though said "Yes, you're a nice little fish even though I have no idea how you will turn out. But you sure are a cute, active little thing. Hurry and grow up pretty!" ^^; Yeah, we kinda talk to our pets, but at least we don't think they talk back and answer for them and such...o.o;

Photo and video updates. Finally...YEAH. I talked grandpa into letting me have my way here. LOL Unfortunately so many photos and videos make his comp crash even MORE often. x.x

First off, the fish you've been waiting so long to see...Sir or Lady Sprite. :3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSzTTgxdQ_g

And of course snails...the hatchlings who eat a lot. o-o There are a lot of them. Funny thing here, I leave a blanched cucumber in there over night, turn on the light and...it's gone. Whole thing. Wow. They're growing good too! That fish facing the camera(the older one, not the kids in the breeder), came out pretty well considering his position. lol That's my male blue-wag platy, blue with a black tail and dorsal, he decided to go rogue and became a male, I was so sure it was a female at this point but he changed. The babies in the net, should be three or four...are "Possible" Muppies. Dunno. lol Second litter after mom...stayed over with my guppy. But who knows, she could still have some from a male molly.

Ah, this is my ten gallon a couple weeks ago. Sorry about the water on the window, I just did a change. I need some new photos, you can actually see the cave now that I moved some of that jumble of what I think is Java Moss, not sure. Lovely stuff though. The fish you see are no longer there, the red cobra male died, the white and red one is in a larger tank, and the pretty female unfortunately died giving birth. =( But I have some smaller endlers, or endlers mixes in there now, they fit better and are looovely, video of them soon too. And yes, in the sunlight. Every morning that tank gets about fifteen minutes of sunlight, then it goes past the house and they get none. lol

This is what it looks like mostly now, minus the vase and plus the cave, this was just after I got my new snails in:

Here it is ten minutes after set up, no fish!

And post two...First off, a bit of my nursery before it was redone. You can see Oscar at the end, he's almost healed there, his dorsal and tail were still catching up, but the rest of his fins and his body were pretty much fully recovered at this point. You can see some of my interesting blue platies, the reds are swordtails...every other fish is platy I think. Not much, sorry, I didn't have room on the cam. Battery didn't die, I just had zilch for room since I can never upload!
Nursery Tank and Juvenile Pleco Before Re-do - YouTube

And here is my tank from about...a week or so ago. You can see my lovely guppy/endlers hybrids, most are red and black. And somewhere in there my mail black and gold endlers, I think he's a pure bred endlers but I could be mistaken, he's only about 3/4 inch and staying that way...he's all black with a pale face and gold fins, you can't miss him. The black and red male I was trying to show off is gorgeous, has the green stripes on his pale face area. :3 See if you can spot him. And the black and red female is a red tux, I have a male cobra endlers(don't know how much guppy is in those at pet shops, they don't say! lol), for her I am hoping they will breed and get more prominent markings.

And for now I think that's it for updates on photos and videos, I know you guys have wanted them FOREVER. :3 I also need some of the new Platy Tank/nurseryish still. It's lovely.

And sorry, some of those videos came up as links, some came up as actual videos. Not sure why.
