Awww, Sylver. :/
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time, I hope you feel better. *hugs*

I'm thankful that some of the snails made it through their grand adventure and into the tank! That's good news - those have got to be some tough snails! Are they PINK!? Those shells should repair in no time if you have hard water and give them enough calcium in your tank for them. You'll have to let us know how they do. . .

We haven't seen any Sylver photobombs lately. . .I think it's time?!

I wish I had some photobombs for you. ^^; Unfortunately I don't.

Yes, those snails seem to be nice and tough. I lost a fourth one two days ago or so...or a day ago. Ugh. I'm still blah today, but I am feeling better now that I'm re-hydrated and lower on the fever side...but yeah. I'm expecting one more to go, the one that died lost the face of his shell and half of the rest, was really sad. The one I'm expecting to go has a HUGE crack from his face to his bum, right down his back. So far it's holding its own though, going around and eating, not being picked at...nice color. The ones who died were a dull color and he's not, so maybe he'll be good. One of the big ones is also being watched, he's a dull color but it's picking up. I can't see damage on him. Everyone else seems fine.
They're not as bright pink as they were in the photo, but you can see that they WERE. I think they'll regain it, their skin is a very bubblegum pink, so with luck and care they'll probably get bright again. In fact, several already have. I'd love to get you guys photos, I REALLY want to show off my newest tank anyways...but I can't upload photos on this computer. =( It's probably going to be weeks/months before I can do that.

I don't know how viable this is, it's a thought so please treat it as such.
Superglue was invented as an emergency field suture by the Army for use when platoon medics did not have time to properly stitch wounds.
Superglue is not water soluble, and I have read about people using it in their tanks with no ill effects.
Could it be used to repair the crack in your snail's shell until it is naturally healed?
Maybe keep it from getting worse and help to seal it against contamination.
I don't know if it would impair the animal's ability to heal it's shell, if it even can.
It was designed for use on humans, who would eventually slough off all of the skin or tissue to which it bonded, I don't know if the snail's shell would just grow over or around the glue.

Ah, and they say the answer to the universe is 42...well it's not! The answer to the universe is Super Glue! lol
I dunno about the super glue thing...I'd think it'd be toxic to the tank...waterproof, sure, but it has nasty fumes. Since I know nothing about it, I wont risk it. ^^;

Everyone seems to be going strong though. I got bits of cuttlebone in the sand that stick out here and there, the snails go visit them a couple times per day. Everyone is eating...and good lord, I have stacks of eggs all over the glass. I think a couple out of every few batches are fakes though, the rest look fertilized. I better be careful, don't wanna be over-run. I'm not feeding them any more than I fed my other snails. Huh. They were laying eggs in the bag too. lol Ah well, this is why I have three more tanks I could add them to, and hopefully find buyers for the youngsters when older.

Usually update this almost daily. Long month. lol Getting better, can breathe, still bruised and shivering over my ER visit, but eh.

Oh boy is it cold. I have a heater in my room set way up just to keep the tanks from freezing. Even with their heaters set at eighty, no small heaters either! The temp keeps getting knocked down too far. x.x But then it's been well into the negatives here, the arctic blast hit...not so much snow, but lot's of cold. It's about zero degrees out there(might be below it now, I checked an hour ago and it was 3F and dropping). Supposed to get to -20F something tonight. x.x

Anywho, fish updates for you!

Unfortunately bad new first. My silver lyretail molly died. Not sure why. She did have that nasty and was thin a while ago, but she's been fine since she gained weight. Kept it on, started looking normal, even started looking like she may be growing eggs. She was dead when I turned on the lights in the morning, but she had no visible issues I could see. =( Poor thing.

Last night one of my odd color endlers gave birth. Caught about six babies, I know there were more but hiding is good in there. I'm not sure what kind of endlers she is, she's gold, but her tail is white and black. Guppies and endlers just look so awful after giving birth! Always worrisome. She seems to be alright now, but she got so skinny and sick looking last night. x.x

Oscar is still looking good, he comes to hang out on the glass a lot and watch me. I got some photos of him, but I can't upload them on this comp, sorry. =(

Snails! So many eggs...I've actually scraped a few off and got rid of them. Hate to do it, but there were 23 visible sacks of fertilized eggs on the breeder alone, I found more in the tank. Wow! Even my 55 doesn't have the space for this many snails to pop in all at once. ^^; Unfortunately I've lost about eight of the snails, they just didn't recover. Some started looking good, getting color back, and then went pale and died. Most seem alright still, but a lot of the smaller ones just didn't do well. The big ones ATE the cuttlebone bit I put in there. x.x Aren't they just supposed to walk on it? lol Went to replace it but I can't find the one I was saving. I am pretty sure my sneaky little thief Cooper stole it. I can't find it...obviously it didn't hurt him, but I think he ate it. o-o; Still looking!

Off to feed the new babies, they're almost 24 hours old now. I fed the older kids before bed last night and the youngsters nibbled at it a bit, I bet they're really hungry by now. :3

Awuh, my red lyretail guppy is dying. You know that odd male I have that looks like an endler's mix? I'm pretty sure he's a lyretail guppy. Odd, but pretty...and they're definitely endlers mixes if not pure endlers.
Anywho, half an hour after I fed them I looked over and saw him spinning in the tank. Now I have no idea WHY he's doing that. It's common when you use airborn stuffs like Lysol or fabreeze...but we haven't used any such thing and the food is kept in a tightly closed container. I wonder what caused it. Everyone else in the tank, including the newborn and two-four week old babies and their mothers, are perfectly fine. Mama recovered during sleep and no longer looks so bad. What rotten luck we seem to be having out of nowhere yet again...Bah! He's still going, I'm hopeful. He's my beauty. Always picking on my favorites. x.x Something happens it's always to one of my favorites. I was looking forward to breeding him. =( Well, at least I know what he is now, but the bigger question is will I ever get one that pretty and healthy again? I raised him up from a fry I rescued from the pet shop, he's the only one that came out lyretail...which is highly attractive in the guppies in my opinion, especially with his red and blue colors. He looked like he was bred from a black bar endlers and something else, he had the black bar and similar markings, but he was mostly red and silver with a bit of blue.

Seems to be a thing, someone dies and babies are born. ^^; One of my female endlers dropped again, but instead of just getting a couple, I got about 10+ and there are still more free-swimming in the tank. One looks like it might be red...Yeah I know they don't get colors that early, but he does look like he's got red markings on him. Here's to hoping my lyretail endlers male got his genes out there before he kicked the bucket. At least I think he died, I can't find him right now, I think he's in the vase. Only one or two fish big enough to eat them in there, perhaps some will survive on their own. I moved the breeder net out of there though, it's just too much for a little tank.
