Yup. I edited that post a bit, if you missed some.

And hey, three babies now. I do believe I just saw them come out of...my Silver Lyretail Molly. O_O; Orange and black babies from a silver? LOL That's kinda awesome if I am right. I thought one looked a bit laborey, she was swimming up and down the glass like she was pacing, like my gold platy did when giving birth...and then I saw the male flying after her for something other than mating kinda way of shooting after her...and a baby shot off in the other direction. I'm gonna put her in the ten gallon after I put the betta in a net for a little bit and see if that happens again. I just fed the frogs, so they hopefully will let any babies be if there are any more...at least long enough for me to get them. Only IF I see her having them for sure though, that coulda been a coincidence. ^^;

I genuinely can say that I no longer have any concept of how many of what creatures *actually* are living in any of your many tanks, lol. I do try, though :D Yay, babies! It's really common for the live-bearer bunch to carry so many mixed genes, all previous matings aside. Life is like a tank of Mollies. . . you never know what you're gonna get! ^.^

Another one...I was typing and not looking, so again I didn't see who dropped it. Thankfully they're smart enough to go behind the net where I can easily get them, but the adults cannot. And this is a gorgeous baby! It's all white with some very obvious black markings and an orange spot on its head. LOL THAT is a mix I have not seen yet, surely it must be my silver molly, she's the only one acting laborey...but you never know. =( What a nice mix of babies, I am so happy! I gotta make room. I am thinking of selling several of my guppies. There's a small group I want to keep, but they ended up giving me too many and I want room to keep babies...especially these. I think I'll give away my gold male and three females. I should have a male and three females left. lol Which is what I wanted from the start.

lol It's not THAT mixed up...molly-wise. I did try though. ^^; Two silvers, a dalmation, three gold dusts, a muppy...a creamsicle....I think that's it on mollies. I have a feeling I'm missing one...oh yeah, the marble that my gold dust female had. lol

Ok, off to stare at the tank until I find mom. Problem is, it's hard even if you see them because you occasionally miss the babies behind a plant or something. Haha, that happened with my calico platies, I couldn't tell which of the five new fish were actually giving birth. ^^; It took me about twenty babies to find mom! She'd drop when going by another fish every single time!

Oops, and I see another behind the net. Smart babies, they must be mollies. ^_^;

OH! I forgot the black molly. Knew I forgot someone. lol

Yeah, I think it was the silver lyretail. I have her in the net now. I got about ten babies now, most are silver and black, some have a bit of gold on them. Pretty things. Let's see if mom will keep going in the net. I have the lights off over there and she doesn't seem stressed out. It was a pain catching her though! x.x Still not -positive- it's her, but I'm almost positive. lol

I luff mollies too. They are just so neat! And I think they have the cutest newborn babies. But I think platy babies beat them once they're a month old, they look like perfect little platies all bright and happy. My gold platy babies are so cute! I took several babies to the shop yesterday, so I have room. I think I took them twenty-thirty swordtails and platies, also got in some guppies on accident. I still have a lot of babies in there, but I wanted to be sure they all had room to grow, and didn't spike the parameters. More room, happy babies. ^_^ I have several juveniles in the main tank where they are growing very fast, so they should be sell size in another month or two. I'm not going to add in anymore fish. In fact, I think I'm gonna go to one pair of guppies instead of two. Mister Chip and my blue male are not getting along, he's got another nick out of his tail. So I'm gonna heal him up and give him away with three of the girls. I'll have a male and I think three females after that on guppies. It was a mistake to get two pairs, I figured they would be fine in a 55 gallon, but they're not. lol Mister blue does not like other males in his tank. He's fine with males of other species though, but he chases down Chip. =(

Well, after I put the silver lyretail I thought was mom into the net, I found no more babies in the main tank, and she didn't have any either even though she looked to be in labor. I think she stopped it, I shouldn't have moved her. x.x; She's still looking a bit laborey though and wasn't in the net long. lol I just can't stand to see babies getting eaten, and my creamsicle got a really nice looking black and white one as I was trying to catch it. >< It just bugs me, if I wanted to see that, I'da gotten carnivorous fish. ^^;

Anywho, I have several nice little babies now. Some are larger than others. I have a few that are just gold that are TINY in comparison to the ones that are black and gold, or black and silver. I wonder if I had more than one mom giving birth. =o

I'm about to run tests on my tank yet again...getting annoying but at least I know my parameters are going to where they should be. If all is well in the nursery, I am going to move the net, babies and all, over there. I don't like the adults picking at them, but I don't want any shocked and dying fry from being moved either. ^^; It happens when I move them. I have the temps all the same, now I just need to know if the parameters are, especially if there's ammonia, they will not be moved if there is still. It should be gone now though. :3

Wish me luck! I so want to raise these little mollies!!

Third Generations have been born! If that wasn't enough of a message for you....the daughter of my gold dust has had her first brood, been wondering when she'd pop...she held for so long. lol Mollies always do that to me.

I could NOT figure out who mom was, I was so sure it was that Silver Lyretail...turns out it was my orange female with a big black spot on her tail. And what a mess of babies she's had. I didn't find anymore yesterday after I caught the silver, I released her two hours later because of that...still didn't find anymore. Well this morning, I saw a bunch of little black, or black and silver ones bobbing about again. And I SAW her give birth to a black and silver one, so I know they're hers. lol Saw it clearly for once. And she went from round belly yesterday to skinny thing today as well, I think she still has some coming...

What a mix! I've never seen such variety come from a single mother. I have solid black babies, black and white, black and gold, black with gold and white, a few bright orange babies with no other colors....wow. o-o Just wow, they're so pretty.

Ah yes, I haven't lost a single one overnight. I had done a light clean of the nursery after the test, test showed ammonia was almost gone, but not quite(I added in more prime when I changed some water so that shoulda gotten rid of it by now), but it was higher in the big tank...so I felt safe moving the kids. They all seem happy and bright this morning. ^_^ And we got some new ones to boot.

Ahh, BABY MOLLIES! Get excited every time I think about it! Cute little tinies to raise. x) Most of them look perfect, but a few have odd tails...guppy-like tails I'd even venture to say. I know some mollies get them, but these are kinda off. It's very possible I got some muppies, my guppy males were chasing her around from the day I got them. lol That'd be cool...especially if that white coloring ends up being blue instead. ^_~

Ah, I forgot to mention. A couple days ago I found some baby trumpet snails too. ^^; No doubt the ones breeding are the larger group I had before I was sent some young ones. They're very small little snails right now, but when I was searching for fry the other day, I spotted some in the gravel that were a little bigger than baby mystery snails. :3 So yeah, they're breeding. LOL

Ah yes, and we got the ammonia problem sorted out and detoxified the high nitrites and nitrates until they're fixed as well. :3 Everyone is happier for that! Myself included of course.

I've also found having some slightly older babies with my new fry teaches them where the food comes from and not to freak out when I'm near the tank. They got a little algae last night, and some baby brine shrimp today which they really seemed to enjoy. I haven't lost a single baby either. Lately I've been losing a lot of the newer babies, but these ones seem nice and fit, and didn't get to stressed from the move to the nursery either. I still have them in the net where I'll keep them for a few more days, that'll give them a chance to strengthen themselves to compete for food and survive in there with older fry.
Man are they cute! I got some pure black ones, and one that is black with bits of gold here and there, I hope he stays that way. It's not often you see black gold dust mollies. I've only seen photos of them online, so that would be great! I think I ended up with 10-15 new babies. I know some were eaten in the main tank unfortunately, but that's a pretty good sized brood for her first time. And healthy little things to boot. The ones that came out all gold are much smaller than the other babies. She must have been carrying from several males, but when I had those other males, she wasn't old enough to breed! Only since I've had the gold male and that muppy critter, who is a possibility but unlikely at this point. Hrm, only other choices are the guppies...guess we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out. =) I'm really wanting to see how those odd colored ones end up. I suppose I should also keep in mind that she was a mixed molly as well, her father was no doubt the dalmation male or the black sailfin I had a while back, so when I think of it that way, it's not surprising I got some odd babies. Even if she bred with another gold dust or gold molly like I had in there, her own genes may produce a mixed batch. That'd certainly explain everything.
