single Angel laying eggs?

I have a single angel fish (about 6 inches tall from fin to fin) in a 55 gallon tank with one kissing gourami (about 8 inches from head to tail) and a betta. I noticed the other day that the angel suddenly got very mean, and this morning noticed that there were eggs on the filter tube that the angel is tending too. They are all white. Does this mean that the angel layed the eggs and they are all infertale? There hasn't been another angel in the tank for about 2 months.

What would have incouraged her to do this, and how do I get her to stop? I am afraid that she will do some damage to the gourami and the betta won't come out of his tiny little hiding place any more. I would concider breeding her, but I don't even know where I could find another angel that large, and I doubt she would pair anyway.

I know that the tank doesn't have the best mix, but they have been living together for at least 2 years (with several other fish coming and going). They seemed to be fine untill the angel got it in her head to lay eggs. I have another 55 set up, and I could move the gourami to it, but it has a (lonely) discus in it with a few giant danios and I am not sure how they would get along. The discus isn't doing too well (I am thinking because he is lonely) and I don't want to stress him out even more.

My lone female angel has laid eggs a handful of times. The eggs are not fertile and she will eventually eat them. She should calm down after the eggs are gone. Not sure how your gourami would do with the discus so I can't give any advice there.
