Hey all. I recently purchased 11 silver tip tetras to cycle a new discus tank I'm starting. I brought them home yesterday and they have acclimated quite well. I went into the room today to find them "running" all over the place. After several minutes of close observation, I concluded that the brighter males were chasing the duller females. (Rather fast, too. My eyes had a hard time focusing on them.) Anyway, I've decided to take the brightest male and largest female out and throw them in an extra 10 gallon I have with some water wysteria for the female to lay her eggs on (hopefully?). Does anyone have any knowledge about these fascinating little creatures?
