I have 3 bleeding heart tetras and just noticed they seem to be rubbing on each other? Do they lay eggs? Are they live bearers? Two of them look a little redder than the third, I'm thinking they are the males??
30 gal freshwater
2 Pink Kissing gourami
3 Bleeding heart tetras
1 White tetra
2 Zebra Danios
3 adult mollies and 1 baby!
1 Panda Cory Cat
1 Pleco
I know nothing about breeding tetras but i do know they are egg scatterers.
If you don't mind your tank has some stocking issues let me specify:
Your bleeding heart tetras, white tetra(im guessing its a dyed black widow), your corries and your danios are all schooling fish and should be in groups of at least 6, prefferbly 8. If they are not kept in schools they get stressed and easily become sick and don't live very long. You can easily get those fish to their proper stocking levels in a 30 gallon with no problems.
Thanks for the advice! I was aware of the schooling issue with the danios and believe it or not when I asked the guy at my LFS if I should get more danios he actually told me 2 should be fine...LOL...you would think he would want a sale!
Haha another prime example of why not to trust pet store employes!
