Save the illigitimate fry!
Hi all. Need advice please.
So I have an unused 2G quarantine tank, where I've been tossing some plant clippings into lately. Amidst the blob of java moss, etc. (surprise!!) I just noticed a single tiny fry hovering near the bottom. Must be a cardinal tetra offspring based on the fish having been in there as well as from my community tank.
I have no idea what to do about the lil guy now. I doubt I could easily get it out of there (and not stress/kill it)... not like I want it in the community tank to be eaten anyways.
So... two questions:
1. What should I feed it? I only have standard flakes and usual frog pellets. I assume it must be eating some plant debris to have stayed alive 'til now. Hate to think the lil guy is just starving in there...
2. I'd like it to survive, but what should I do about it now... leave in the 2G tank by itself until it's big enough to move? or other suggestions?
