Thankfully I found a LFS that will credit me .20 per fish. I forgot to ask how big they need to be.

That's nice. They are pretty fish. How many do you think you have?

Awesome!!
I love Platy fry; they're so cute I could stare at them for hours :)

Congrats to you

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I feel your pain on that, I have a platy that is about to give me another batch of fry in about 2 weeks , and she gave me 46 on the 3rd of march. I had to set up another tank so I could keep them separated. I am looking for a LFS that will take them now, as I really want to breed my guppies. and I now have 12 new guppies as of this morning, and just noticed tonight that I may have moved mom to soon as I have new fry in my community tank *L*

IME guppies will breed faster then platties.

I just let the population seek it's level in my tanks.

my .02

maintain Fw and marine system with a strong emphasis on balanced, stabilized system that as much as possible are self substaning.

have maintained FW systems for up to 9 years with descendants from original fish and marine aquariums for up to 8 years.

With no water changes, untreated tap water, inexpensive lighting by first starting the tank with live plants (FW) or macro algae( marine)
