Question re bottom cover for breeding tank

I am setting up my larger tank for my pair of Angelfish. Since this is going to be a decorative tank as well but with them only, I do not want to go without a bottom cover. I remember that gravel is not good for fry. I want to have live plants as I do in my other tank. I have the Floura Max ground cover that I bought for this new tank along with another type of gravel that I mix in. I will not use the larger gravel for sure but wondered if the Floura Max (spelling) would be safe for them. It is a tighter gravel...not as many little spaces between gravels. I was thinking that maybe I could use that along with a sand.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I definitely do not want a bare tank. I am not going to be breeding seriously. If the parents end up not raising their fry after the wiggle stage then I will be going to the jar route that you keep in the tank. If I do this, the bottom covering is not an issue. However, I am not sure how they will be so I need to set the tank up in a way that is good for fry if they end up raising them.

Thanks!
