Pregnant Guppy Help

I have a guppy that has given birth to six babies a little more then a day ago. I moved her to a separte tank. I know she has more babies because the gravid spot is still dark. But it is red (blood?) around the gravid spot and some of her stomach. Is this normal or something that is a problem? Also she is not moving around. She is stanying in a courner of the tank at the top. Thanks

Well I have seen guppies especially who almost never lost the gravid spot. They stayed pregnant forever it seemed. I don't think she should give birth in the next couple weeks because the next batch should be at least 10 behind the one she just had. I have not personally seen a guppy or any other live bearer give borth to any more babies after the first 24 hours from any one batch but it could be possible.

Don't worry, Cassie. The guppy will be alright. That's how they behave when they drop fry.:)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
