Pregnant female GUPPY - problems giving birth?

Hi there - I hope someone will have experienced this... one of our female guppies got pregnant around Christmas time. We're now mid-May and still no fry. She is ENORMOUS, about twice the size of females born at the same time as she was, and ROUND (so much so that her spine is constantly bent and she has difficulties swimming... reminds me of being heavily pregnant, and she looks as uncomfortable as I was!)

ABout two or three times in the past month we've had air bubbles coming out of the gravid spot, and she spends most of her time hiding in the plants, head down, and wriggling as much as she can - as if she was trying to push the fry out... but NOTHING. We've had quite a few baby guppies in the past but never had this problem.

Starting to think it's a genetic disorder as another female born from the same litter got pregnant too, became nearly as large as 'mummy whale', then died...

Just read about performing a c-section on a dead pregnant female to at least save some of the fry, but if there is a way to save her or at least limit her suffering, I'd be grateful for suggestions.
