pregnant cherrys?

i have had cherry barbs for about 2 weeks now in my community tank, how can i tell if they are pregnant and i dont have different tank to put a breeding pair in so could i get a large breeding trap and place it in the tank putting some plant cuttings and 1 male and 2 females in there?

Welcome to Fishforum.com, Jodie.

Look into some large shrimps where their tails seem to hold eggs. If you have a tank full of fish, chances are the larva will only be eaten. If you have a tank full of Java Moss, you can place them there and they will eventually release their larva once they hatched.
