how fast do yours grow with that setup?
"He situates himself in relation to time. He takes his place in it. He admits that he stands at a certain point on a curve that he acknowledges having to travel to its end. He belongs to time, and by the horror that seizes him, he recognizes his worst enemy. Tomorrow, he was longing for tomorrow, whereas everything in him ought to reject it."
Little Fry Help :)
Advise = when feeding the fry of live bearers such as guppies swordtails and mollies. I have used Hikari fry food with great success. Add algae tabs once every three days and feed them live newly hatch brine shrimp every other day. I've currently got 4 week old red velvet swordtail fry that are close to an inch long.If you seem to be losing fry then purchase a siphon filter, keep your temp around 78 to 80 degrees and limit them to 10 hours of light per day.I allow my fry to stay in thier own planted tank for 2 weeks then transfer to the community tank the ones i want to keep. With proper cover an feeding they will thrive with the big guys I promise. Keep in mind that nature uses natural selection to eliminate the fry that wont make it, so dont be discouraged if you loose a few babies.
i have some 3 week old tomorrow velvet wag fry about 3/4 of an inch:)) i've been feeding them crushed up flake food and crushed freeze dried shrimp. they seem t be doind really well and i thought i might share this advice. i havent done any water changes! out of 26 fry none have died in the 3 weeks of life they've had:)
