well they are eating it, you cant really tell because it is liquid. Every time the drink the water they get a bit of yolk

It should be close.:) Remember not to use breeding hatcheries when breeding them. Use a heavily-planted tank instead or let nature take its course. Platies are very prolific so I wouldn't think of separating the fry unless you think you can accommodate every fry.:)
