Post Orander Breeding i need advise

Hey users

watsup!!?,

well recently i brought 2 oranders not fully grown i would say their about half grown and they share the tank with 2 guppies and 2 tiger catfish .. oh and today i brought a baby orander

But i was wondering if anyone could give me advise on how to breed them and how to tell if they are interested in each other... the male has been ramming the female lately so i think that means the male is ready to breed but the femaale isnt really interested... so some tips about how to breed them would be good... THX

btw my tank is like 15 - 30 gallons so i hope that helps?

WATSUP DYLAN!! lol

Do you mean Oranda's?
As in the round bellied goldfish?
You say your tank is around 15-30gallons? Thats a pretty big difference in size. So first of I would advise finding the exact volume in it.
And you have your Orandas in with Guppies and Tiger catfish..?
Do you have them in an aquarium or just a coldwater tank?

When your female oranda is ready she will be really plump and once the male and female are both ready to breed, the female will start scatering her hundreds (sometimes thousands) of eggs around the tank and the male will follow her fertilizing them. The guppies will probobably eat them along with the tiger catfish so you will have to take the eggs out to save them.
