 Not sure if my WCMM is pregnant...
I have recently purchased three white cloud mountain minnows - one was fatter than the others (rounded belly), so I suspect he is actually a she. She (?) appears to be getting rounder in the stomach department, and tonight is messing around in the plants and hiding in them more than normal. She is also constantly pursued by one of the male fish - wherever she goes, he goes too.
Am guessing the fat fish is female? And is she likely to be pregnant (esp as she's gotten fatter)? If so, what happens when she lays the eggs? I don't have a nursery tank, and to be honest, not sure i want one, or to breed fish anyway......
This is my first tank, and my first fish, the tank is still cycling, and i really don't want to work out how to do infant fish as well. |
