I love them. I do use hob filters in some grow out tanks w the sponges also but other than that they can handle alot. I make my own diy box filters that im slowly putting them in the pairs tanks and using the sponges for my grow tanks. and they only cost 1 buck each to make.

Very nice setup! I only have 1 breeding pair of angelfish and I can't keep up with them. In fact, I pull the eggs because I don't want to go down this road. I have respect for those of you who can and do!

Welcome to Fishforum . First off, your tank setup is amazing! I'd love it if you could share how you make those filters for $1 too .

20 gallon long: 3 adult Neolamprologus similis + about 11 fry of various ages; low light planted tank
20 gallon long:2 freshwater dwarf puffers (Puff Puff and Poofer); medium-light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Wormy; low light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Dante; low light planted tank
2, 5.5 gallon tanks that are currently empty (I see more fish on the horizon )

I will be making about 6 more saturday and will take pictures of the whole process. and I will post it here, they are not the prettiest but they work great for breeding, hospital tanks or if you need to set up a tank in a hurry. i cycle them for about 1month before I use them which really helps.

Neat...I see how they work. That setup that you have to fill the tanks is quite smart too :)

Wow!

He's like the guy who bred the cichlids who's gf killed a lot of them when she turned off the heater and booted him out of her house.

We need a forum called MTS anonymous.

I'm a spaz...

angelsfish are all that I am currently breeding.I just started setting everthing back up and am 75% done but I am going to start breeding me brislenose catfish again when I get my tanks all up and running, they take along time to get them to sellable size and my lfs would give me pennies for them so I seperated them. I have looked into guppies I have an old breeders set up madeout of 60 5 gallon rubbermaids all plumbed together and an auto w/c on it. but I am keeping to busy setting up my angeltanks. I just finished plumbing my fish room with pvc and installed a central airpump and 100 outlets which I love I was running a ton of pumps and they where always diying on me. not any more
