Smile Neons or Tiger Barbs



hi everyone

goods news today at 6pm gmt time i noticed my barrel in my tank had eggs on it so i worked fast as the fish were in a hungry mood and have mved 30 secussefully into isolation, the question is whos are they, the only fish i have that are egg layers are tiger barbs and neons, but someones had to for laid them and i am sure now the only way i will know is if any fry make it and end up big enough for me to tell, more up dates soon i hope but if anyone can work if out please let me know i only have two barbs but where sure they were male, and 9 neons. the eggs are gel together and are white and see through not completely but enough to tell they are.

Bad news the eggs never hached they did have black dots appear ion them but nothing now they have all gone cloudy white think something went wrong disappointed but thats natural i guess, now for the good news on my natural look to count that my fish are all there something caught my egg moving in one of the plants, would you belive it a a mollie fry, he is now in isolation and doing very well, so i had a baby fry in the end. pictures as soon as i get a change promise.

looks like im too late to warn you.eggs mostly need parent before they hatch.ignoring the tank till they hatched would have been a better idea

Thank you for advise if i see any more eggs i willl leave them into the tank

but now bad news my poor baby fry has died i check all my other fish there fine water parameters are excellant and before i went bed he was feeding fine no problems got up 8 hoursd late and he had died anyone any ideas if i did anything wrong?

fry can die easily don't be to hard on your self.neons hardly breed in captivity or so i heard.consider yourself lucky they actually hatched and you got a fry
