need help with tiger barb breeding

i have 2 green tiger barbs(look at my signature) and i just noticed they have become very close to each other and one of them is FATTT with kight color and the other one is skinny and colorful? did i get a male and a female? will they mate? they r in one corner circling each other right now....the female has some sorta opening at the bottom of her belly like a guppy does before it gives birth? what do the babies eat? how many eggs will hatch? will they eat the babies? where do they put them?do they defend the babies??? sry thats a lot of questions answer whatever u can much help needed
