well just cause the Goldfish is living doesnt make it ideal...but i'm just saying The 10 gallon will work fine and would be a good place to raise the babies. Otherwise i've seen people make homemade "breeder nets" out of old plastic cool whip or butter containers or something that they attatch to the side of the tank and cut tiny slits in to let water flow through. As long as its cleaned well (preferably not with soap), it will work. I had one customer once who had a large fish net that he just hung on the side and put gravel in the net so it hung down inside the tank making a little "net cage". If you didnt want to set up the 10 gallon, there are creative ways of making a setup for the fry.
