Are you sure? They are big enough that there is no way they will get eaten. I would just be worried about them getting chased so much that they get really stressed.

Do they have places to hide in the tank? If they don't seem like they can swim fast enough then don't release them yet. For some reason I was thinking they grow slowly like my few danio babies seem to be.

I took a chance and put them in. They are doing fine. I have not had one guppy fry die yet. I am pretty proud of myself for a first timer. All 11 are still living. When I placed the mama back in, she poped out a couple more babies!

That's good...I keep wanting to think they're as small as my danio baby but probably not.

Just for future reference, you shouldn't turn your filter off especially when you have new babies. They are very susceptible to diseases when they are small. A quick fix if you don't have a sponge filter is to put panty hose over your filter until the babies mature enough to not get sucked up.
