my guppy is having babies right now :]

I've been able to watch!
This is sooo amazing
It's so cute too!
She's in a little plastic container with a drop down, made for fry.
She's had about 5 now, they are all running around the bottom right now, they have the yolk so they can't really do too much.
I have some pics I will post as soon as I find my camera/comp cord
:D :D :D :D

ha yeah
well its weird, none ever make it
most dont come out of the ball and some that do, just die in a hour or so
but today, after taking her out and leaving the dead and living babies (bout 14 of them total) in there little tank, i came home to 1 still alive and doing great!
So I took out all the dead babies and moved the live one to a smaller little floating tank.
I hope this little survivor lives!

Guppy babies dying??

I have been succesfully breeding Guppies for over 3 years now, and have NEVER had a whole batch die, usually some, or most get eaten, I have however had a MAMA get too big and Die.. I think she had 22 babies that time..

2 - 10 gallons various stage guppy nurseries
2- 40 gallons everything from puffers to cichlids
1 - 55gallon Puffer Haven (in progress)

well i have bad luck with them.... i had a gorgeous female i'd had a month or so and right when she was about to deliver, i came back couple hours later to check on her and she was dead....

And since then, I lost 7 of my 9 guppies.... I have 1 fire colored male left and plain female that i've had 7 months and she's never gotten prego... I'm very upset and mad... They looked perfectly healthy

Sorry for the dumb question but these are "Fancy Guppies", correct?

How can you tell males from females?
