I have 2 Green Spotted puffer fish that I got the night before Easter 2007. I need to know if one of my fish is pregnant. Its the aggressive one, who I call Dank. When I first got these fish they were not in good shape. Mostly because they were being fed krill, which is NOT what they are supposed to be fed! They are usually fed bloodworms, which is what I started feeding them after doing some resherch. They seem to have gotten bigger, and are very healthy now that they are fed bloodworms. But I noticed that Dank was always a little bigger in the stomach then my other puffer Djaja. And as they days went by it seemed as if he or now it seems she is pregnant. There appears to be little ball shapes in the stomach that look something like eggs. This morning I slept in, so when I went to check on the fish my mom said that she saw Dank puffed up, next to the big rock in my tank. My mom and I have been looking closely by the rock. And my mom thinks there are eggs by that rock. From what I have read, females lay the eggs usually by a rock, and the male guards the eggs. And the other fish, Djaja, seems to be swimming by that rock quite a lot. Dank looks slightly skinner today.
