My Convicts Finally Spawned

My convicts spwaned and now I should have food for my Belonasox. I know it sounds crual, but everything has to eat.

The Con's should provide plenty of munchies...

Is the fish you reference a pike killifish?

Have fun and be PATIENT!

Yes the fish is the Pike Killie or Pike Livebearer. I had some about 30 years ago and they are very interesting. Most folks just see them as eating machines and look no further. I hope that the 11 I have left, oops make that 10, will mature enough to get a few pairs. They are one of those fish that spring onto the scene and then are not seen again for some time. I plan on maintaining them on a long-term basis. Next summer I will try raising a batch of fry in a kiddie pool with a ton of Endler females and cover.

Once they get large enough, I may put a pair or two up for sale. That depends on how it goes from here.
