You can't leave a molly in one of the breeder nets very long. They are best used for small fish like guppies, not the larger mollies and swordtails. More than a day or two is getting to be too much in my opinion.

Dam guess ill release her tommorow evening, of course shell have the fry once i release her lol thats just my luck. Im still going to try to save the fry.

Ok I need help. My molly looks like she's becoming square. Her back fins are like gone and she's just a fat square thing hovering in the bottum. Is this bad? She is pregnant to. I've read its called squaring off but its not described to what I'm seing so I'm a little nervous

Yeah the should interbreed, I'v had my mollies and sailfin mollies interbreed many time. Best of luck, let us know if they breed for you

Thats normal don't worry about it she's just going thru the stage of getting ready to release fry. also they usually do it at night when the tank light is off so what i usually do is put them in a breeding net in the night when i turn off the light and if theres no fry by morning i release her into the tank again and repeat every night till she gives birth.

Well for those of you who were waiting to see if my molly gave birth, the answer was no, she passed away, i had a sudden ich break out while she was squaring and getting ready to release, she died from the ich....
