Male or female tetra? Eggs?

I have noticed today that 2 of my large tetra's have large round bellies and wasn't sure if they could be full of eggs. If so could they have them anytime cause I am not sure what to do. I have read on how to tell the difference in the sex but still have always found it difficult to tell. but all you have to do with these to is look at them from the front and they are round bellied. Is there anything I could use from my home to put in the tank if it is eggs to prevent her from eating them?

Any help would be appreciated as I have found it hard finding info about tetras. These two are also completely baby blue and light orange in color, never did find out the exact name of them. Size of a dollar coin, some slightly bigger.

Welcome to Fishforum.com, Serpentfire.

May I ask for pictures? This will help identify your fish, determine the sexes and whether they have eggs or not. Green peas as always are worth a try in case of possible constipation.:)

I can rule out dropsy on this one. It does look like it's full of eggs. Do they excrete wastes? How do their wastes look like?

By the way, these are dyed white morphs of black skirt tetras.

Their waste appears to be normal. They go all the time. Its usually anywhere between a light color and almost a brownish.

I was looking at them and a third appears to have the belly too, the one in the 2nd picture, which has 2 dark strips and the fins are dark like the strips, black in color. The other three are as thin as always. I didn't realize I had captured the third in the picture.

glad to see we are back!

I was just curious about the fish I was asking about earlier. They appear to look about the same. If they are full of eggs is this normal as its now been about 2 weeks?

How long do they hold eggs before they have them? And how soon after could they have another batch?
