i got a male and a female kribensis. the male is smaller than the female and she chasses him and picks at his fins. i was wandering if this will get better with age or get worse. if it will get better i would like to try to brred them
Typical cichlids, breeding fish are not show fish, some nipping & the the results of that are to be expected. An old trick is a divider with holes big enough to let the smaller fish through, but small enough to keep the larger fish out.
most cichlids will show agression when trying to pick pairs. some of this can be minimized by trying to pair them off in a group (3 females and 3 males and letting them naturally pair) Having just a male and a female kind of forces a pair whther the fish want it or not.
