This morning I found that some of the wigglers were nearly swimmers but when any strayed from the plant leaf, a parent would scoop them up and redeposit some of them back on the leaf. It looked like some were being eaten.
The process would blow some more off the leaf and the process would repeat. Fearing they would all be lost, I broke out a net breeder and scooped up all that I could (about two dozen) which ended up leaving about a dozen left on the leaf.
They remained there the rest of the day, but later this evening I see that they are all gone. I'm glad I saved some. My plan now is to leave them in the net breeder for a time until they are larger and then I'll transfer to a 5g where I currently have a couple of tetra's in quarantine (new fish). I have a 10g I can setup if need be and some may come back to the 60g when big enough....however, I'll need new friends or need to speak to the LFS down the road to take some.
I'm starting them on Hikari frozen baby brine shrimp. Later on I'll introduce Omega One flakes that I will powder when feeding.
