give him away. when they 'grow to the tank' it stunts their growth... As I forget who said this but imagine you full grow grown in a 2 yr olds body with adult sized organs, it is the same for the fish

What would you suggest I replace him with? He does a great job of cleaning the tank. My small tank needs help the most. I put a snail in there, he did a pretty good job until my orange bully pulled him out of his shell and ate him. I didn't know I was getting an agressive fish. That tank had three bullies, but now they are dead. I have two fish left in there. A chinese algae eater and a beautiful blue striped fish (think it is a Chilumba Cichlid) I bought him for his color. I really need something to clean the glass of the tank, am thinking I need some more fish in there but not sure what I can put with the blue one. It is a 15 gal. tank.

Go out and buy an Ancistrus pleco (bristlenose).

I would also go online and make SURE you have a chinese algae eater, rather than a siamese algae eater.

Otocinclus Catfish. They are great algae eaters, stay small, and I've never seen any indication that they can be aggressive at all (or be on the receiving end of aggression.) I have a group of Otos in with a particularly aggressive Dwarf Gourami. They are the only fish he has ever tolerated.

Still can't find batteries for my camera, took a photo with phone so not great quality. This is going on three weeks that this fish has looked like this. I thought it was pregnant so bought an isolation container for it. The last few days though I find the fish laying on its side or belly up. Thinking it is dead I move the little container and it starts swimming again.

Is it sick or pregnant?

I can't figure out how to size the photo. Either it is really big or pretty small.
