How to find the fry?

Well, my platy gave birth today (to at least one). I saw one by the heater, but then it swam away. And now I can't find it at all. So my question is, how do you actually find them?

I am probably too late, but there's lots of places that you can usually find the babies. Mostly, you can find them hiding in the plastic or real plants... look all over the leafs! Lots of times I see mine sitting inside the leafs! Also, if you have any fine looking plants such as java moss or something like what I had in my fish tank (picture 35 attached!) those are gold mines for finding baby fish! Also, lots of times they hide in the gravel if you have larger gravel pieces. Swish your hand around it to create a current near the rocks so they get sucked out. If you have some floating plants, those are also "gold mines" for finding baby fish! :p (picture 41). I found most of my baby fish in the red plant or the floating plants I've shown you. Just look in all the possible tiny hiding places you can. When you find one, don't take your eyes off it. Get a net, and coax it into a corner or against the glass so you can get it into the net. You can also use some tubing that is small, like the tubing for an air pump, create a suction, and use it to suck up the baby fish. cover it with your finger when ur not using it so the water doesn't just keeping filling up. use a bucket and suck them into it.

I hope that you can find some!!! goodluck! let us know how it goes.
