How do I know if a mouthbrooding mom cichlid will eat her young?

I have an orange cichlid who's been mouth brooding for 20+ days. I have her separated from the rest of the tank by way of divider. Should I just let her go and let her spit them when she's ready and then leave her in there w the babies to grow up? ? Or strip out the fry and remove her back to the other part of the tank?

55G. 8 cichlids. Thanks.

It's personal preference, if she is an expensive fish some people will strip, if it's a cheaper fish I'd let her do it. If she's made it 20 days she's doing good. As soon as she spits them she needs to go, she hasn't eaten in a long time she's hungry and wants nothing else to do with them except maybe eat them lol. If it's her first time she may eat them, most fish get better at this with age some never do. Make sure if you are going to leave the babies in the tank with the divider that they can't get past the divider and you want to put a sponge or something over your filter intake so they don't get sucked up.
