How do I care for Angelfish Fry?!?

I wasn't looking for a breeding pair either..haha. I had my striped (now confirmed ) female first, then bought my (now confirmed again) male a couple months later. When I first put the newer male in, the female spent a couple days attacking him which I figured eas normal. She was telling him who is boss of the aquarium and establishing territory. After a couple days, they were the best of friends. Now I know why More recently, I tried adding more Angels and the Marble Angel (male) kept attacking them to death. I tried adding 3 at a time to cut down on aggression and the same thing ended up happening. Now I know why he was so aggressive. He was protecting his woman..haha

im guessing a marbled and striped cross would just look marbled. Now that you mention breeding, I might try it later on..... If I could get my hands on those German red angelfish.

A marbled and striped cross will probably have a variety of some marbled and some striped. Who knows, but I hope to find out one of these days I'll have more confidence in the fry surviving once the 120g is set-up. I think a 6 foot tank will give the fry a better chance of surviving.

Yeah, I don't come across that size often on Craigslist either. Maybe check Ebay too?

yeah, I was talking about when the dominant gene pairs up with the recessive gene, a lot of times you see a mix of the mother and father's color when that happens, but I don't that would look any different from the marbled version, unless the marbled pattern is a recessive gene.

I would think the marbled would be dominant but I don't know for sure.

By the way, do you know if I should continue with my water change schedule? I wouldn't be able to remove as much water as I usually do because of the location if the eggs, but I can do two smaller water changes this week instead of one larger one if need be.

When there are fry in the tank its good to do small water changes as much as possible. So i'd go with the 2 water changes that week. The people who are really into breeding to a 10% water change every day, because that mimics the habitat that the fish live in, which is good for the fry.
