Alright... all of the info i have looked for on breeding these guys i havnt liked. Does anyone here breed them or know what some breeding triggers are? I tried starting to breed Tetras right after the common livebearers. I've heard Danios are easier than most egg layers along with White Clouds too. So any tips anyone?
Not sure about the white clouds. The danios should be easy enough provided you have two tanks. Mine spawn all the time on their own, although water changes would probably help trigger the behavior. Just cover the floor of the tank in a thick layer of java moss, lower the water level so it's only like 3 or 4 inches above the top of the moss, and let the fish do their thing. Remove the adults and you should be good. The adults will try to eat the eggs (and fry) like crazy so they definitely can't be kept in the same tank as the eggs.
