How am I supposed to feed my fry when mom keeps sucking them all back into her mouth?

Hi everybody. I have an orange cichlid that somehow has birthed about 30 fry despite being the only orange cichlid that has eve been in my 55G. Anyhoo, They all popped out of her nmouth about 5 days ago but everytime I even walk in to the room, she sucks them all back up into her mouth. So every time I try to put in some fry food, they don't get any. What should I do? Do I just hang on until they grow enough where she keeps doing this? Should I pull her out of there and put her back on the other side of the divider with the other cichlids and let the fry grow up without her? Thanks.

Just feed them then walk out of the room.

Do you have live plants in your aquarium? Live plants such as Anarchis and Cabomba provide refuge, oxygen, and nitrates for fry. They will instinctively swim into hiding if its available. It works in my aquarium.

When she is ready she will let them out, she is protecting them from danger. Once she stops putting them back in her mouth I'd move her away and let the fry grow up.
