If you have a male in the tank and he was around the female they could be fertile. Fertilization does not take place in the female but happens outside. So you could have fertile eggs or may not. A tell tale sign will be if the eggs turn white or not. If they do then they are streile or getting fungus and should be removed. If they get a black spot in them then you should have babies in about 7 days.

Best of luck.

If possible, treat the tank with an anti-fungicide(methylene blue is a good one) to help prevent fungus from attacking any viable eggs.
