Help me with molly breeding

Hi I have a 10 gallon fish tank. In it i have 6 balloon belly mollies they are all quite young. Their mother lives in our bigger 56 gallon tank. She had 21 babies and now we own 12. In my tank I have one boy and 5 girls. The one male has been chasign the other females around and sometimes makes his fins rather big. I have a couple questions. One How old does a fish have to be to get pregnant? Do they breed wtih family? And how do you know when one of your fish is preganant? I will try and post pictures soon. I am new to this fish breeding stuff. Please help me out here thanks!

4 months of age is what i was told when i had a similar question a while back. being that you have a 1:4 male/female ratio i woulndt worry much about the male harassing the females too much, that is a good ratio to have. Unlike cats, dogs ect. i dont think it is a problem for fish to breed with siblings, i know with bettas they actually recomend it.

If they are pretty young still, sometimes their babies are unhealthy and die or they have a very small amount like 2-5 maybe? Also I heard pregnancies too young can stunt the females growth i think... not sure though! I'm sure they'll be fine! Also if fish breed too many generations together than I think they can be born with defects. I think one generation will be fine, though. Not sure how to tell when balloon mollies are pregnant... other than if they act funny/hide/not eat and the back of their stomach looks pushed out in a spot.

Her stomach will grow, not her body.
