Midnight & Sunshine the breeding pair of angels I sold off for 70.00 :( I really didnt want to but after getting Discus and having some of them being ill to many tanks not enough time and I rather raise Discus fry than angelfish the babys I kept 7 out of 200+ the rest I sold off. Ill update with some pics if anyone has interest to see?.

I'm a devoted fan of yours Plumkin. Would love to see pics and I'm looking forward to seeing a new thread on "Baby Discus'. Hope your newbies are healing. I saw the pics of the Red one with the black line on it's face and it's big scrape. Hope it's doing ok.

Any word on the Discus breeding?

Sadly (in my case) I think my platinum Angel and Black Angel are pairing off now too. Ugh! I don't have enough room to go through all that you did with your lovely little babies. Not to mention, I have a hard time letting anything go. I get attached. I did sell some Guppies as they were taking over but I sold all my females and kept males to stop the breeding. It breaks my heart to take them to the fish store. Yes, I am a wimp.

aw thank you :) i should be uploading pics soon ! im excited to show how big they are i took a short vid before i sold the rest but i still have my fav 8 and I can't wait to make a thread on my Discus and when they will spawn :D I have so many tanks my mom calls my house the house of fish the sick ones are doing better and will be going in the community tank soon then the pair that I have will go in a breeding tank and then we will see some lil babys and it will be like this tread tonz of pics and updates al the time im very excited to start on the Discus breeding!

No your not a wimp thats how I am i raised all my fish so much hard work it broke my heart to even think of selling them all i wanted was to have a 220 gallon tank full of all my baby angels it would of been gorgeous but where i live I couldn't do that and I lost my job so sadly to say It was sorta a income? and I made a great profit from it but it was such a headache with all the w/c and tanks and everything :/

Plumkin I'm sorry to hear of the job troubles. It's tough in the USA right now isn't it!? Well I think you are on the right track with the Discus! If the guy you got yours from was not caring properly for them, and was selling them in poor condition, and considering the cost of Discus at the store, I think you might have just found your niche!! This is one expensive fish to buy for the average person, and you possibly have the time and inclination right now to learn, grow and succeed at being a reputable Discus breeder! Can't wait to hear about your progress!!
