Hey everyone ,

I just wanted to post and thank everyone for all there advise and tipps on breeding , I've always wanted guppies and recently added them to the community 5 females & 2 males in a few weeks I now have over 30 !!
I went crazy tryin to seperate and pamper the first fry after that i have left them in the tank with all the rest of the fishes , I havent lost a single one ...wow. Nature is on holiday or something that an my fishes are rotten lol treats an all they just dont wanna chase the fry lol :p
But also none of my local pet stores have fry food !! how shocking is that . None of them .
So I compiled advice from everyone and came up with this
brine shrimp , bloodworms , & betta pellets crushed into powder they love it and are growing like lil weeds .;-),

I am changing the water 30 % water every 2 days . Every time I do a water change the morn after I find more fry !! But this mornin my ph and ammonia have both spiked.. Is it due to the fry ?
Just wanted to share the fry recipe . And ask about the water change..

And to say thanks again !!! to everyone:-D:-D for all the advice

God bless and thank you
charlie

I have no idea about the amm and ph spikes, guess it could be due to the extra food being put in there? Anyway just wanted to say congratulations on the fry! :-D

If the fry are in a new separate container, the ammonia is from the food and waste from the fish and there not being bacteria present to break it down.

IF they are separated inside of the tank, It is possible that with the newly added fish have caused a spike. When you add fish the ammonia level increases and you have to wait for the population of bacteria to stabilize so that it can change the new input levels of ammonia into less toxic forms of nitrogen.
